UCBD hosts Monash Open Day
Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) recently hosted the Monash Open Day, providing prospective students and their families with an in-depth look at the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) and Monash College Diploma (MCD) programs. The event offered insights into the university's academic offerings, campus culture, and learning environment.
Held on May 5, 2025, at UCBD's premises in the Gulshan area of Dhaka, the event aimed to help students select the best educational path suited to their future aspirations, as stated in a press release.
Tram Nguyen, Director of Marketing at Monash College, was the chief guest at the event. She shared valuable insights about the Monash programs, emphasizing their cost-effectiveness and benefits compared to other higher education pathways. Nguyen also led an engaging session, allowing students to participate in group and one-on-one discussions to learn more about the career opportunities these programs provide.
Nguyen remarked, “Studying at UCBD through Monash programs is not just a wise investment but also a globally recognized path to academic and professional success.”
Professor Hew Gill, President and Provost of UCBD, expressed, “We are thrilled to offer world-class Monash programs right here in Bangladesh. It’s a source of great pride that students can begin their international academic journey from Dhaka.”
Other UCBD officials in attendance included Professor Ismail, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer.
