Snigdha Steps Down as CEO of July Shaheed Smriti Foundation

Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha has stepped down from his role as CEO of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation.

In a statement to the press, Snigdha explained, "I am still pursuing my studies and, due to academic commitments, I am unable to fully fulfill my responsibilities as CEO. As a result, I am resigning."

He made the announcement during a press briefing held near the state guest house, Jamuna, in the capital.

Snigdha is the twin brother of Mir Mugdho, one of the martyrs of the July uprising, who was tragically shot while distributing food, water, and biscuits during the movement.

Snigdha also shared that retired Lieutenant Colonel Kamal Akbar would take over as the new CEO of the foundation.

However, he clarified that he will continue to serve as a member of the foundation's governing body.

Snigdha was appointed CEO by the Executive Council of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation on October 21 last year.

The July Shaheed Smriti Foundation is a non-political, welfare-driven, voluntary NGO approved by the interim government.
