Miraz Climbs to Career-Best No. 2 in ICC Test All-Rounder Rankings

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz has reached a new milestone in his Test career, climbing to second place in the latest ICC Test all-rounder rankings—his highest position to date.

Miraz’s rise comes on the back of a stellar performance against Zimbabwe in Chattogram, where he scored a magnificent 104-run innings and claimed a five-wicket haul, leading Bangladesh to a dominant victory. His heroics earned him both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards. With a career-best 327 rating points, he has leapfrogged South Africa’s Marco Jansen in the rankings. India’s Ravindra Jadeja continues to lead the all-rounder list with 400 points.

In addition to his all-rounder ranking, Miraz has made significant strides in other departments. He jumped eight spots to 55th in the Test batting rankings, and his second innings figures of 5 for 32 helped him move up two places to 24th among Test bowlers. The bowling list is currently topped by India's Jasprit Bumrah.

Other Bangladesh players also made gains following the emphatic innings-and-106-run win that leveled the series 1-1. Opener Shadman Islam, who scored a century in the first innings, climbed 17 places to 60th in the batting rankings.

Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Taijul Islam emerged as Bangladesh’s highest-ranked Test bowler, moving up seven places to 16th after taking nine wickets in the Chattogram Test.

For Zimbabwe, Sean Williams returned to the top 20, equaling his career-best 19th position after scoring a resilient half-century in the first innings.
